Kumeyaay Kitchen/Process

Painted during the Borrego Plein Air Invitational at Mine Wash. It was a windy day - so had to hold onto the panel while painting - so that I felt as if I was sailing across the desert by the Kumeyaay spirits that once inhabited and ground corn on these stones.

I like the painted picture within the  real photo picture very much as it reminds me of Magritte - and am inspired to paint it again this way in future!
