Thames River Boat

I was attracted to the scene by the lovely aqua green/blue shade of the boat, the sparkle in the reflections in this still side of the island in the Thames and the small cheery flowerpot on the boat. Painted at Ray Mill Island/ Boulter's Lock, Maidenhead. July 2019

A happy note from Pastel Society of Eastern Canada:

Good morning Margaret,

Thank you for your good wishes. The evening was grand indeed, especially for your gem of a painting. Out of 90 paintings in the judging you won the top award. The judges said that they saw in your paintings every quality they could hope to see in a pastel work. Congratulations!
