I must go down to the sea
Paint out organized by Artist in Residence at Cabrillo National Monument, Kathryn Law, gave a much needed opportunity to refresh my eyes in the different light, color and sea air. I found a nice overview of a tidepool and used a low wall as the back leg of my easel to get a better vantage.

The included photo taken after working for a couple of hours shows the color and forms I could see. My painting seems more about the different substances and confluence of their energy.
